Our Commitment
We want every guest, family, and planner to be able to learn about our venue and contact us easily. We are working to make this Site accessible to people of all abilities, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.
The Standard We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Steps We Have Taken
To support that goal, we have:
- Built the Site with structured headings, page landmarks, and labeled form fields so it works with screen readers.
- Provided text descriptions (alt text) for meaningful images.
- Made navigation, menus, forms, and the photo gallery usable with a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Chosen text colors that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements.
- Honored your device’s “reduce motion” setting by minimizing animations and smooth scrolling.
- Offered the full Site in English and Spanish, with the page language set so assistive technology pronounces content correctly.
- Used layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and support browser zoom and text resizing.
- Included accessibility checks when we make changes to the Site.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:
- Embedded map: the map in our contact section is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. Our full street address and a text “Get Directions” link are always provided next to it.
- Third-party sites: Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and other sites we link to are run by other companies and may not meet the same standards.
- Photos: our gallery images include short text descriptions. If you would like a more detailed description of any of our spaces, our team is happy to help.
